The journalists and mentors that I have listed below are the people that have had the most impact on my work ethic as a journalist and a leader. Leonard Penix is one of the most influential journalism professors I had at UC. I learned the most about reporting and writing from him. Anna Walter has been my boss for three years. She has hired me for two different positions and promoted me once into a leadership role.
